UN 70th Anniversary Commemoration

A night of celebration, poetry, music, history, taking stock and envisioning the future, was the spirit of the UN 70th Anniversary dinner, held on the 12th November 2015, to mark 70 years of the existence of the United Nations, which came into being on the 24th October 1945.

The UN Swaziland anniversary also marked over 4 decades of United Nations partership with the Government of Swaziland. The United Nations Country Team, government, civilsociety and private sector stakeholders came together to look back at the history of the UN globally, and closer home, UN work in Swaziland.
