Swaziland prepares to submit outstanding human rights reports

MBABANE (3 February 2012): SWAZILAND has initiated the process of submitting its first ever reports on the Kingdom’s compliance with two United Nations covenants.
Supported by the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights, over 70 people from government, civil society and the United Nations were trained in a three day workshop on treaty body reporting procedures. The focus of the training from the 31st January to the 2nd February, was on two instruments - the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).
